Hello my name is Richard and I am “A redneck in Asia”

I was born and raised in Marietta Georgia a small northern suburb of Atlanta. After years of chasing the American dream and owning several businesses, (some more successful than others.) I came to realize that all I really wanted to do was just  do a little traveling and see the world. I had long ago given up on the idea that one day I might be rich or even have enough money so i did not need to worry. I really enjoyed my business in the Art field but like everything else it required a huge amount of my time and energy to maintain. I just wanted to relax a bit and enjoy life while I was still young enough and fit enough to do so. So I sold my small business to an employee, signed up for my tiny social security check, and loaded up a couple of suitcases and boarded a flight at Atlanta airport to Cambodia. And so the adventure begins! Hopefully I can get by on a small income and a large amount of Southern charm. Stay tuned as I explore this country and surrounding areas and record some of my thoughts and rants. I don’t know if Asia is ready for me…………
